About

Hi! I’m Yuqian Sun, or Summer (born 2002).

I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and a second major in Computer Science and Mathematics. I’m currently pursuing a Master of Science in Fiction and Entertainment at SCI-Arc, supervised by Liam Young.

My work sits between design, storytelling, and technology. Over the years, I’ve worked across fine art, spatial design, storytelling, data analysis, AI workflows, and interactive systems. I really enjoy learning new tools and building worlds across different media. Lately I’ve been focusing on visual effects, real-time simulation, and game-engine-based workflows, using software like Unreal Engine, Houdini, Maya, and Blender.

My current interests sit at the intersection of narrative worldbuilding, computational design, digital fabrication, AI, and human–computer interaction (HCI). I’m fascinated by how fictional worlds can reframe spatial practice, and how new technologies can expand the future of representation.

Thanks for visiting my gallery — hope something here sparks your curiosity. More projects are on the way.
